Last updated: 16 October 2026
1. Overview
This deposit refund policy explains when a deposit paid on an iCredit iPhone credit application may be refunded. By paying a deposit you accept the terms set out below.
2. Deposits are non-refundable
Deposits form part of the total consideration for your device and are generally non-refundable. Once your order is placed and the deposit is received, it is allocated towards your agreement and cannot be returned in cash.
3. Refund before dispatch
If you cancel your order in writing before the device has been dispatched, you may request a refund of the deposit. Approved refunds are paid back to the original payment method within 7 to 14 working days, less any reasonable administration fee.
4. No refund after dispatch
Once the device has been dispatched or collected, the deposit is no longer refundable. The agreement remains active and the usual monthly instalment terms apply.
5. Rejected applications
If your credit application is rejected and you have already paid a deposit, the full deposit will be refunded to the original payment method within 7 to 14 working days.
6. How to request a refund
To request a deposit refund, send your application reference, proof of payment, and banking details to us via WhatsApp or the contact page. Requests are reviewed within 3 working days.
7. Deductions
Where the device has been used, dispatched, or where return shipping or restocking costs apply, iCredit may deduct a reasonable fee from any refundable amount before payment.
8. Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa and forms part of your lease agreement with iCredit.
