Terms of Service
The legal agreements and credit terms that apply when you apply for a device through iCredit.
Last updated: 7 October 2026
1. Agreement to terms
These Terms of Service form a binding agreement between you and iCredit governing your access to our website, the credit application process, and any device credit plan you enter into through iCredit. By using the site or submitting an application, you accept these terms in full.
2. Who may apply
You must be at least 18 years old, a South African resident, and the legal holder of a valid South African ID document. You confirm that all information you provide is accurate and complete; false or misleading information may result in immediate rejection or cancellation of your agreement.
3. Credit terms
Approved applications result in a fixed 24-month device credit plan. The monthly instalment and deposit quoted at application are fixed for the full term and will not change. Rates and availability are subject to the device selected and iCredit's assessment at the time of approval.
4. Deposit and payments
Where a deposit applies, it is payable immediately at activation. Certain devices require no deposit. Monthly instalments are due on the same calendar day each month as your activation date. Late payments may incur fees and affect your standing.
5. Device locking
Financed iPhones are equipped with software that locks the device if an instalment is missed. The device unlocks automatically once the outstanding amount is received. Tampering with or attempting to bypass the lock is a breach of this agreement.
6. Ownership and unlock
The device remains the property of iCredit until the full 24-month term is complete and all payments are settled. An unlock code is issued on completion, at which point ownership transfers to you.
7. Delivery and collection
Devices are delivered nationwide via RAM courier (typically 2–4 business days), or may be collected in-store from George, Western Cape. Courier delivery fees apply and are shown before you confirm your application.
8. Returns and cancellations
Devices found to be defective may be returned within 7 days of delivery subject to our returns policy. Credit agreements may not be cancelled after the cooling-off period except as provided by South African consumer law.
9. Your responsibilities
You agree to keep the device in reasonable condition, make payments on time, notify iCredit of any change to your contact or address details, and not resell, sublet, or transfer the device before ownership passes to you.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, iCredit's liability is limited to the value of the device financed under your agreement. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the device or interruption of the credit service.
11. Changes to terms
iCredit may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes are effective when posted on this page. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by and construed under the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Western Cape.
